Our amazing growing team of individuals will always provide a friendly, gentle, compassionate, warm, non-judgemental and caring approach to all. We have set out clear values that we will always abide by and ensure that no matter what all Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse who use our servce will be given a voice and a safe space to be able to share their stories and build their own path to recovery with our support.

Our Story

Survivors Space began after one of our members experienced their own resurfaced trauma and began to disclose their own experiences of Historic Childhood Sexual Abuse. During this difficult period and through trying to access support it became clear that the support in the Lothians and Edinburgh wasn’t available.

What is Trauma

Trauma is an event that cause physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual harm to an individual. For every individual Trauma effects them in different ways they may feel anxious, scared, worried, nervous or feel threatened. Many people suffering from trauma don’t know how to respond and may not even acknowledge the event at all but prefer to deny the event even happened.
