Our Story
Survivors Space began after one of our members experienced their own resurfaced trauma and began to disclose their own experiences of Historic Childhood Sexual Abuse. During this difficult period and through trying to access support it became clear that the support in the Lothians and Edinburgh wasn’t available.
This sparked a fire in the belly of the Survivor and he called in support from local professionals and like minded individuals to discuss the idea of setting up a voluntary organisation and so Survivors Space was born.
We got together a fantastic team of board members and finally just over a year after our initial board meeting, we applied for Charity Status………………………….and now Survivors Space is officially a Charity supporting Survivors of Historic Childhood Sexual Abuse across the Lothians and Edinburgh
